These Teacher Terms were last updated November 2, 2024. When you sign up to become a Teacher on the Prep4exam platform, you agree to abide by these Teacher Terms (‘Terms’) including the Terms of Use of this website.
Prep4exam charges no fees for creating and hosting courses on the platform. This is to encourage content creators as they bring content which benefits students. As a teacher, you can create as many free and paid courses as possible. You are only limited by your own capabilities.
As a teacher, you are responsible for all content that you post, including lectures, quizzes, exercises, practice tests, assignments, resources, answers, course landing page content, and announcements (‘Course’).
You grant Prep4exam the rights to offer, market, and otherwise exploit your Course, and to sublicense it to students for these purposes directly or through third parties. This includes the right to add captions offer coupon codes for discounts or post your content on our social media platforms.
We may record all or any part of your courses for quality control and for delivering, marketing, promoting, demonstrating, or operating the Services. You grant Prep4exam permission to use your name, likeness, voice, and image in connection with offering, delivering, marketing, promoting, demonstrating, and selling the Services, your Course, or Prep4exam’s content, and you waive any rights of privacy, publicity, or other rights of a similar nature, to the extent permissible under applicable law.
We reserve the right to remove courses, suspend payouts, and/or ban Teachers for any reason at any time, without prior notice, including in cases where:
The Prep4exam platform allows you to add other users as co-Teachers or teaching assistants (known as co-instructors) for courses that you manage. By adding a co-Teacher or teaching assistant, you understand that you are authorizing them to take certain actions that affect your Prep4exam account and courses.
Prep4exam is not able to advise on any questions or mediate any disputes between you and such users. If your co-Teachers have an assigned revenue share, their share will be paid out of your earned revenue share based on the ratios you have specified in your Course Management settings as of the date of the purchase.
Teachers don’t have a direct contractual relationship with students, so the only information you’ll receive about students is what is provided to you through the platform. You agree that you will not use the data you receive for any purpose other than providing your services to those students on the Prep4exam platform, and that you won’t solicit additional personal data or store students’ personal data outside the Prep4exam platform. You will not ask students to meet you outside the platform. You will indemnify Prep4exam against any claims arising from your use of students’ personal data outside the intended purpose outlined in our terms and Privacy Policy.
When creating a course, you will be prompted to determine the price for your course. Alternatively, you may choose to offer your course for free.
You are responsible for paying applicable taxes from your course earnings in your country.
When a student purchases a course on Prep4exam, the gross revenue generated from the sale is calculated as the total amount received by Prep4exam from the student after any applicable taxes, fees, or discounts have been applied. This gross revenue serves as the basis for determining the earnings shared between the Teacher (you) and Prep4exam.
The following outlines the revenue-sharing structure and how earnings are distributed:

For us to pay you in a timely manner, you must own a PayPal account in good standing and must keep us informed of the correct email associated with your account. Alternatively, you must provide us with your Mobile Money account if you live in Zambia. Depending on the applicable revenue share model, payment will be made within 14 days after we receive your request. You can send a request in your dashboard if you meet the minimum earnings specified by us.
There are no minimum fees for withdrawing the money you earn from your courses. You can withdraw whatever amount you have. However, sending fees will be deducted from the instructor’s money.
You acknowledge and agree that students have the right to receive a refund. Teachers will not receive any revenue from transactions for which a refund has been granted under the Terms of Use.
If a student asks for a refund after we have paid the relevant Teacher payment, we reserve the right to either (1) deduct the amount of the refund from the next payment sent to the Teacher or (2) where no further payments are due to the Teacher or the payments are insufficient to cover the refunded amounts, require the Teacher to refund any amounts refunded to students for the Teacher’s courses.
From time to time, we may update these Terms to clarify our practices or to reflect new or different practices (such as when we add new features or when we are obliged by law). Prep4exam reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify and/or make changes to these Terms at any time. If we make any material change, we are not under any obligation to inform you. You are responsible for reviewing these terms and conditions from time to time.
Your continued use of our Services after changes become effective shall mean that you accept those changes. Any revised Terms shall supersede all previous Terms.
You and we agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, contractor, or agency relationship exists between us.
